It all began back in 2012… 4 like-minded, Rochester area athletes scratched their heads…
“How is it possible that the Rochester and Finger Lakes Region has such world class trail running and yet… there’s no website collecting all the information in one place and promoting trail running?”
#TrailsRoc was born on an idea and a dream. Meet the current board and learn about our history below.

Eric Eagan
President and Founder
Eric is an avid and passionate runner living in Greece, NY. Eric tells his stories about the Western NY running scene in a unique way while sprinkling in his goals of motivating others to start running, keep running and love running. When Eric is not running or writing about running (check out trailmethods.com), he is hiking the Adirondack Mountains, the Finger Lakes Trail, snowshoeing the trails and hills of Western NY, or canoeing the waterways of New York State.

Secretary and Treasurer
When she’s not running or hiking with Eric, Sheila’s probably coming up with fun new race ideas, baking for post-run snacks, dancing around the kitchen or reading a book. Sheila is the Race Director for Many On The Genny, a 40-mile ultra in Letchworth State Park.

Jeff doesn’t like talking about himself. Just about anything else in this universe, though, and he’s in. He is however a father of 3 beautiful children and husband to one of the most caring women we have ever met.

When he’s not working on trails or running on them, he enjoys bicycling and hiking. Rumors that he can fell trees by looking at them may or may not be exaggerated. He has never heard a dad joke that he doesn’t like…

Steven Dailey
Group Run Coordinator
Steven has been part of #TrailsRoc since 2013. Though he is an avid and passionate trail runner, Steven is most proud of the community of friends, now family he has been able to cultivate over the years. As a member of the #TrailsRoc Board, Steven hopes to foster more connections within the local community as a trail ambassador. When Steven is not running, you’re likely to find him swimming at Durand, hiking in the Adirondacks, or getting in a strength training session at the gym. No matter where he is, he’s always surrounded by friends and family.

Group Run Coordinator
Steven has been part of #TrailsRoc since 2013. Though he is an avid and passionate trail runner, Steven is most proud of the community of friends, now family he has been able to cultivate over the years. Shea Coleman
Trail Connoisseur
Shea enjoys leading group runs and sharing new trail experiences with her friends. Shea also likes to
encourage her friends (and sometimes strangers) to go out of their comfort zones and sign up for the big
races they’ve been thinking about. Although Shea’s main passion is trail running, she also enjoys
spending time mountain biking or kayaking and has participated in several adventure races. Shea also
spends time running with and training her cattle dog mix and volunteers as a dog foster parent.

Picasso was a constant at every #TrailsRoc event or race for many years, always tagging along with his owners, Eric and Sheila. He loved being outside and supporting everyone, and even though he isn’t with us anymore, we know a part of Picasso is still running alongside us at every race!
