Filthy Formal 10K
April 1st 2017 10:00 AM
DESCRIPTION: The muddy meander through the marsh and maples at Black Creek Park morphs from “Mess the Dress” to “Filthy Formal”. We will take you on 10,000(ish) muddy meters of merriment, so “dress up and mess up”. We encourage you to dress up and bring your best merry mentality to the event.
We will have a “mudway runway” set up to strut your beautiful muddy mess around on – Photographers will be on hand to take pictures of you in all your grimy glory. And a King and Queen of the Mud Prom will be announced at the finish.
Black Creek Park is a mix of single track and double wide trails – It is fast and flat – A great course for vets to test their trail speed and a perfect course for beginning trail runners to have fun and success that will keep bringing you back to the trails!
The course starts and finishes at the Sunnyside Lodge.
This year, we are donating proceeds to the Settlement Houses of Rochester Foundation

#TrailsRoc Gives Back: Each year, we donate proceeds from this race to a charity that benefits women. We are excited to announce that this year’s recipient is the Settlement Houses of Rochester Foundation.
The Settlement Houses of Rochester Foundation is the fundraising arm for Baden Street Settlement, Charles Settlement House and Community Place. The settlement houses have been performing on-the-ground, anti-poverty work in Rochester for more than 100 years. They uplift the lives of people from cradle to grave. The foundation ensures the settlement houses can serve the community for generations to come.
