WHAT: Are you new to trails? New to this area? New to running? Do you get nervous about the hills and roots, or feel like you might get lost? Do you wonder what the heck is an orange blaze and where on earth is Devil’s Bathtub? This group is a great place to start your journey, or learn more about parks and trails you’ve never been to. This area offers so many opportunities to our community, we want to help you get comfortable exploring.
All paces are welcome. This group is perfect for newer runners, people coming back from an injury or time off, and those looking just to get outside for an hour with a low-key and relaxed group! We always make sure no one is left behind or lost.
All runs are on Sunday, start at 8:00am (may change each week – look closely at the post) and will be approximately one hour and typically cover between 3 and 5 miles, depending on pace. We will leave no one behind, and often have walkers/hikers so please come out!

Sunday, November 28: This week we will run the hills at Abe Lincoln. Join us at 8am at the parking lot on Empire.
Sunday, December 5: This week we will keep it nice and easy and run the green loop at Mendon Ponds. Park at the Beach lot, starting promptly at 8am.
Sunday, December 12: Please come and run with us on Saturday, December 11th at WTF. Please see the race details and come join us! Race is at Powedermill Park.
Sunday, December 19: Let’s run the trails at Bay Park West and get in some hills! Park at the lot on Homewood Lane. Start time is 8am.
Sunday, December 26: Anyone want to explore Rico Cave? Now is your chance… if it seems like it might be too icy, this run will be updated. Park at Maplewood Rose garden. We will run/hike to the cave, and then run to upper falls. Mostly roads for this one. Start time is 8am.
Sunday, January 2: Let’s ring in the new year with a LOONG New Years Resolution Run. Start at the Zoo parking lot, and run back through Turning Point Park and across the pedestrian bridge.
