WHAT: Are you new to trails? New to this area? New to running? Do you get nervous about the hills and roots, or feel like you might get lost? Do you wonder what the heck is an orange blaze and where on earth is Devil’s Bathtub? This group is a great place to start your journey, or learn more about parks and trails you’ve never been to. This area offers so many opportunities to our community, we want to help you get comfortable exploring.
All paces are welcome. This group is perfect for newer runners, people coming back from an injury or time off, and those looking just to get outside for an hour with a low-key and relaxed group! We always make sure no one is left behind or lost.
All runs are on Sunday, start at 8:00am (may change each week – look closely at the post) and will be approximately one hour and typically cover between 3 and 5 miles, depending on pace. We will leave no one behind, and often have walkers/hikers so please come out!
If you are unsure of the parking areas for these runs, please download the #trailsroc app to help you navigate to the parking areas. Please check the website for the most up to date details.
Schedule:
Sunday June 19 – This will be a longer run, about 10 miles. We will meet at 7am at the High Acres trail located https://goo.gl/maps/WGPRxMDfTv8n8aEHA here. You always have the option as this is an out and back to turn back sooner.

I started road running in April 2016 in an effort to keep off the 38 pounds I took off dieting…. ran my first 5K in July and a couple more since. I have gotten up to 4 miles on the roads. I live in Webster and ran the Whiting Road trail a couple of weeks ago and after I got over how hard it was I actually liked it. I am wondering if I would be a good candidate for one of your SAS runs? I have never run 5 miles, and my time on the trail was average pace of 13.07 ?!?!?

Hello, I would like to join in on a run tomorrow morning. I have a serious problem with getting lost sometimes….. Are there any land marks on Log Cabin Road, to let me know that I am approaching the correct area?? I’m sure that GPS can guide me the rest of the way…. Thank you.
