Seneca Trail Project

#TrailsRoc presents the #SenecaTrailProject

Seneca Trail –  Victor Hiking Trails 14-miles, hilly, can be muddy, various conditions, great views

The Seneca Trail is our most varied trail. Its red blazes take you through meadows and woods it is a footpath for most of its length, it has hills to climb with long vistas, low-land boardwalks, bridges, and fords. (And, in wet conditions, some muddy spots!) It is named for the Seneca Indians who had a main trail from Bare Hill by Canandaigua Lake through Ganondagan to Irondequoit Bay at least paralleling our trail. Portions of the Seneca Trail are closed during Fall and Spring hunting seasons.

The Seneca Trail connects with several other trails and parks along its way. It crosses many roads and has a number of designated parking and access points.  Full details and pictures of the trail can be found on the Victor Hiking Trails Web Page

So what is the The Seneca Trail Project? It is a way for you to go out and explore the trail in bite sized chunks.  It is a common point of reference to plan with your friends your next adventure.  By the time you are done with all 7 legs, you will have run the Seneca Trail from start to finish and back.
